Documents not available in the University Library may be obtained through the Inter-Library Loans (ILL) Service. The Inter-Library Loans service is available to registered members of the Library, Faculty, and other Staff in need of research materials. This is to supports the research and educational needs of the University community by providing access to materials not held in KsTU Library's collections. The Unit conducts all transactions in accordance with the KsTU Interlibrary Loan policy.

Cost 

Users will be required to pay for the service. If the requested document is a journal article, obtained from sources outside the Region, the requestor will pay for the cost of photocopying submitted by the source library.

Borrower's Responsibilities

Materials obtained through Interlibrary Loan (ILL) are for the exclusive use of the individual submitting the request.

Borrowers are responsible for returnable materials from the time the materials are picked up until they are returned to the ILL Unit. Any charge resulting from damage to materials or improperly returning materials is the responsibility of the user.

The individual borrower is responsible for any infringement of the Copyright Law regarding materials on loan from other libraries.

How to Apply                                                                                                                                              

ILL request forms are available at the Lending Library. These forms should be completed with every detail, including the source of the reference, e.g. a bibliography or recommendation from a Lecturer.

Waiting Times

This can vary between a few days to about a month in exceptional cases when the document is difficult to obtain.
